Numerology is the study of numbers and their significance in your life. Exploring this system can help you by revealing information about your strengths, challenges, gifts, and charisma. It can reveal synchronicities and universal knowledge that can change your outlook and direction in life.
A deep study of numerology sheds light on the structural nature of our universe (matrix). As you become familiar with the energetic essences of numbers, you may find that numbers are here to help us better recognize who we are. Through the use of numerology and our intuition, we can gain deeper insight into our lives, helping us to better understand why we are here.
The Origin of Numerology
Pythagoras is given credit for the Pythagorean Theorem and modern numerology but in the book “Stolen Legacy” by George G.M. James, it talks about how Pythagoras was shown proof of the theorem by the Ancient Egyptians. It states: “Pythagoras travelled to Egypt and was taught geometry by the Egyptian Priests and made to sacrifice to the Gods, before they showed him the proof of the theorem of the square on the hypotenuse of a right angled triangle. Pythagoras did not discover this proof, and it is misleading to name the theorem after him.” The earliest records of numerology are thought to originate in Egypt and Babylon.
Reducing Numbers in Numerology
In the numerology practice, you reduce multi-digit numbers down to a single-digit (numbers 1-9), except for the master numbers 11, 22 and 33. These numbers are reduced by using addition.
For example, the number 13 would be reduced to 4 by adding 1+3 (13=1+3 =4). The same type of reduction through addition would apply for the reduction of year numbers. The year 2019 would be reduced by adding 2+0+1+9 which equals to 12 and then you would reduce further by adding 1+2 to get to a total of 3.
Numerological meanings can also be derived from words. Calculations can be made with letters by using the corresponding numbers that are assigned to them. In this example we will use the word ‘NATIVE’. N=14, A=1, T=20, I=9, V=22, and E=5. Using these letter-number relationships, the sum of all the letters equals 71. 71 is then reduced (71=7+1) to the final single-digit number 8.
Numerology is here to help you explore within yourself and understand who you are and why you may operate the way that you do. Numbers are an energy that make up the entire universe and having just a little bit of understanding can make a huge impact on your journey. Interested in learning more?
